Supply Chain Act Programme published

This programme is intended to implement the first provisions of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), which came into force on 25 July 2024 and must be transposed into national law by 26 July 2026.

As reported by the law firm Noerr, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) have published an immediate action programme to promote the application of the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) in accordance with the requirements of the EU Supply Chain Directive. This programme is intended to implement the first provisions of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), which came into force on 25.07.2024 and must be transposed into national law by 26.07.2026. An initial draft bill is expected by the end of 2024.

Here you will find the (German) immediate action programme for sub-legislative measures for the practical application of the Supply Chain Duty of Care Act, also in the light of the requirements of the EU Supply Chain Directive.

Companies whose products pass through international supply chains are affected by numerous new due diligence obligations. The presentation CSDDD, EUDR, CBAM - Challenges in supplier and data management by Alberto Zamora Pueyo (CEO Osapiens), on 19 November 2024 at the East Hotel in Hamburg, will give you an insight into the challenges and possible solutions for practicable sustainability reporting along the supply chain.
